Red Sea corals

Join HH Princess Shaikha bint Khaled Al Saud, Marine Conservationist, and Dr Luis Silva, Microbiology Manager, as they take you on a fascinating journey to explore the thriving ecosystems beneath the Red Sea's west coast. Home to the fourth largest barrier reef in the world and countless species of coral and marine life, this underwater wonderland is unlike anything you've ever seen before.

Our experts reveal the secrets behind the unique resilience of Red Sea coral and share our unwavering commitment to protecting, preserving, and enhancing these spectacular ecosystems.

Red Sea Global (RSG) has pledged to increase the net conservation benefit of The Red Sea destination by 30 percent by 2040. We're developing only 22 of our 92 islands and just one percent of our 28,000 km2 land area to preserve and enhance critical habitats.

Shaikha explains how RSG is redefining sustainability and tourism to create an authentic experience for travelers above and below the water. She also highlights the fascinating shipwrecks that dot the coastline, relics of centuries-old trading routes.

Dr Luis reveals how the northern Red Sea coral's exceptional health is due to its geological history and environmental conditions. With six percent of corals and 12 percent of fish species found only in the Red Sea, it's crucial to conserve them for future generations.

Join our experts as they share their knowledge and passion for the Red Sea's incredible marine life, and discover what makes this natural wonder so unique.
